Prominent real estate coach, Tom Ferry, says it is best to start out your pitch by identifying a problem buyers are facing. This is something they can relate with that will make them stop and listen. In addition, Jace Grebski of Medium emphasizes the importance of a hook. You’ll want to begin with something interesting that grabs the audience’s attention.

After presenting the problem, the next step is clear: offer a solution. Ferry suggests to give facts and proof here to build credibility. This can include data collected on your business’s success or even good customer reviews. For example, you could tell your audience, “We sell 5 times as many houses than the competition.”

Finally, every pitch should end with a call to action. This is where you tie it all together and make an offer. Ferry stresses that if you have no closing, you get nothing in return. You could end by saying something like, “Check out my website,” or “Would you like to schedule an appointment?”
