As an entrepreneur with a background in construction, Tim Maher founded The Elite Group in 1984. With Real Estate law suits at an all time high, Tim worked diligently with local Realtors to develop a comprehensive Home Inspection process that would help consumers to make better informed home buying decisions while reducing risk to all parties across the board.

Personally performing over 30,000 home and commercial inspections over the past 35 years, Tim is a Certified Master Inspector with over 60 additional industry certifications and qualifications, making him one of the most knowledgeable Inspectors in the Country!

Starting out with only two Inspectors and one Sales representative back in 1984, Tim has successfully grown The Elite Group to be one of the largest privately-owned Inspection firms in the Country and the largest in California. With over 65 Certified Home and Commercial Inspectors, The Elite Group proudly inspects over 20,000 homes or buildings each year!

With a marketing degree from San Diego State University, Chad Hett joined The Elite Group in the early 1990s. Bringing a wealth of great business sense and marketing knowledge, Chad’s contribution to the growth of Elite was outstanding! Bringing in more business than ever, Tim and Chad were able to grow The Elite group brand and gain more and more market share each year!

Chad Hett, now one of the Industries most widely sought-after public speakers, has co-authored several books and taken on several other leadership roles throughout the Home Inspection Industry. Traveling across the country, you will often find Chad Hett up in front of thousands of people coaching and mentoring other Inspection companies along the way!

Moved to California with $100 dollars in his pocket in 2008. His only options were to grow or to give up. In 2009, he joined The Elite Group Termite division. This division was on the verge of shutting its doors after the recent market collapse. Josh implemented changes in the systems and daily routines of the employees. In 6 months, the production increased 400 percent and Josh was promoted to Manager of the whole division at age 23. He accomplished this while completing his Bachelor’s Degree of Sociology from Cal Poly Pomona. He currently manages the marketing division for home inspections, which has grown an average of 22% annually with his leadership. Josh and his team understand the importance of creating powerful daily actions that help grow the company one relationship at a time.

With over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry, Josh brings valuable insight to realtors on the importance of a home inspection in a real estate transaction. Josh has completed several dynamic speaking courses. His focus is to share ideas that work with agents to help grow their business.
