An inspection is a visual examination of the structure and the systems of a building. If you are thinking of buying a home, condominium, mobile home, or commercial building, you should have it thoroughly inspected by an experienced and impartial professional before the final purchase. When you choose the Elite Group to do the evaluation, you can rest assured that our inspectors are the best in the industry.
Why should I have a home inspection?
The purchase of a home or commercial building is one of the largest single investments you’ll ever make. Since it’s such a big investment, you need to know the current condition of the property — as well as any repairs and maintenance that will be needed in the future.
A professional home inspection informs the homebuyer of the property’s condition. Things aren’t always as they seem. A fresh coat of paint might be hiding serious structural concerns. Stains on the ceiling may simply be the result of a resolved leak, or they could indicate chronic roof leakage and mold damage. There could even be extensive termite damage that compromises the integrity of the home. After evaluating the property, our home inspectors will present their professional opinions on the property’s condition. This will give you a clear understanding of the home so you can make a confident decision.
If you’re selling your house, getting an inspection before you put your house on the market can help identify and remedy any potential concerns. Call The Elite Group at (866) 761-3616 to schedule a home inspection today. In addition to residential assessments, we also specialize in commercial inspections.
When should I schedule an inspection?
The best time to schedule an inspection is directly after you have made an offer on a property. The real estate contract usually allows for a grace period to inspect the building. Ask your real estate agent to include this inspection clause in the contract, making your purchase obligation contingent upon the findings of a professional inspection.
When should I schedule an inspection?
Unfortunately, home inspectors are not legally required to be certified in California. This means that some are not as qualified or experienced as others.
All of our inspectors are certified and insured. Several are Certified Master Inspectors® and all have been certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). Our extensive certifications and credentials mean that our home inspectors are the best in the industry.
What parts of the house will a home inspector assess?
The Elite Group offers the most comprehensive home inspections in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside County, and the rest of the state. Depending on the package you choose, our inspections can include evaluating the drainage system, crawl space and ventilation, insulation, framing, plumbing, ABS pipe, complete exterior, complete interior, air conditioning, swimming pool and spa, electrical system, foundation, masonry, appliances, windows, doors, roofing, heat pumps, furnace, siding, and more.
How is the industry regulated?
In California, all inspections should be performed to the standards adopted by InterNACHI. To become a member, an inspector must pass a written examination to prove their competency. InterNACHI and other professional training and certifying agencies train and certify their members through rigorous classroom and field testing. Moreover, InterNACHI inspectors must participate in continuing education courses to maintain their certifications and memberships. InterNACHI-Certified Professional Inspectors® adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards of practice.
I am extremely pleased with the property inspection I recently received. Very through, very professional, and the report was prepared and delivered to my agent and me overnight! Thank you, Elite Group!
Got David and he was amazing. He explained everything and answered any questions we had. We bought the elite package. Only bummed that the swabs from the mold he found were going to be an additional charge to send them to the lab. But he did find a leak that you could not have seen to the naked eye due to recent paint job. I would definitely use them again.
I’ve had the great opportunity to work with Philip Reams on two inspections and he has been excellent to work with each time. He is prompt, professional and did a very thorough job. He’s very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions. He put everyone at ease about the inspection and made the overall experience great.
Todd Smith of Elite Group Property Inspections inspected a property in Fullerton for us. He was very thorough and spent a lot of time on the phone with us after the inspection, as we were unable to be at the actual inspection. We would most definitely hire him again.
Used The Elite Group Property Inspection for our first home we just purchased. Our inspector was David Beaudoin he was AWESOME! He was on time, very professional. He took the time to explain and discuss any findings during the inspection. He was very thorough and everything was nicely consolidated in his report. Highly recommend them.
