Electrical Inspection

Just like the roofing or siding of a house, a home’s electrical system also ages and needs maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. If you pay close enough attention, a house will also give you signs that it’s in need of service, like flickering lights and frequent outages. However, if you’re planning to buy a new house, you naturally don’t know much about its electrical system.

That’s where The Elite Group comes in! We’ll do a thorough electrical inspection of your home’s wiring, switches, outlets, lighting, and circuit breakers. We’ll also make sure that your new home’s electrical system is up to code and safe.

When should you have an electrical inspection?

Both new homebuyers and existing homeowners can benefit from an electrical inspection, depending on the age and condition of the home in question.

We recommend scheduling an electrical inspection when:

  • Purchasing a new home
  • Doing a major home renovation
  • Installing a new appliance
  • If your home is 40 years old or older

Whether you’re planning to buy a new home in the near future or you suspect that your current home has an electrical issue, The Elite Group will do a thorough evaluation of the electrical system. Our findings will go into an easy-to-read report that you can use during the homebuying and home improvement process.

What does an electrical inspection by The Elite Group include?

The team at The Elite Group knows just what to keep an eye out for when evaluating your electrical system. An electrical inspection covers:

  • Ensure AFCIs (arc fault circuit interrupters) work correctly
  • Verify that switches and outlets work properly
  • Test smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors
  • Verify correct light-bulb wattage
  • Inspect electrical panels for age and wear-and-tear
  • Evaluate outdoor lighting and outlets
  • And more!

After we complete an electrical home inspection, we’ll put all of our findings in a detailed report. The report will include parts of your electrical system that could benefit from repairs or upgrades.

I am extremely pleased with the property inspection I recently received. Very through, very professional, and the report was prepared and delivered to my agent and me overnight! Thank you, Elite Group!

Got David and he was amazing. He explained everything and answered any questions we had. We bought the elite package. Only bummed that the swabs from the mold he found were going to be an additional charge to send them to the lab. But he did find a leak that you could not have seen to the naked eye due to recent paint job. I would definitely use them again.

I’ve had the great opportunity to work with Philip Reams on two inspections and he has been excellent to work with each time. He is prompt, professional and did a very thorough job. He’s very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions. He put everyone at ease about the inspection and made the overall experience great.

Todd Smith of Elite Group Property Inspections inspected a property in Fullerton for us. He was very thorough and spent a lot of time on the phone with us after the inspection, as we were unable to be at the actual inspection. We would most definitely hire him again.
