Profitable Ways to Market Your Business Online

Monday April 6, 2020

In light of COVID-19, many of us are facing disrupted routines. We’re learning how to work from home, and how to adapt to the reality at hand.

In our efforts to practice social distancing, we’re unable to visit the office or interact with clients and customers in our usual way. However, it’s important that you remain productive and continue to give your business the attention it deserves!

Although office visits are currently off the table, your marketing strategy doesn’t have to suffer. There are so many ways to market online, and now is the perfect time to learn something new.

Check out some online marketing ideas below!

  1. Create a Blog

Reach a larger audience by starting a blog. A blog is a space for you to post and share high-quality content, which will increase your value to any current or potential customers.

Although you won’t see results overnight, starting a blog has many long-term benefits. A blog allows you to create authority, be viewed as an expert in your industry, and drive traffic to your company website.

  1. Use Facebook Ads

Facebook ads are a great way to reach the right demographics for your business. As long as you know your customer well, you can use metrics such as interests, geographic location, age, or many others to locate potential customers that will then be directed to your landing page.

Facebook ads take practice. Most of the time a company will run multiple variations of an ad to see which one works best. It can take some time to find the right one, but that’s okay, and there are many resources that can help. This website teaches you how to create the perfect ad in minutes.

  1. Connect with Others on LinkedIn Groups

LinkedIn groups are a place for you to connect with others in your industry or niche market. Instead of using these groups as a place to sell your product or services, however, add value by contributing to a conversation or discussion board. Stay in the spotlight by contributing regularly, but don’t overshare.

LinkedIn groups also give you the opportunity to contact people you might not have mutual connections with. You can message other group members without being connected, which can be extremely beneficial for growing your network.

  1. Stay Engaged with Email Marketing

Every business owner should take advantage of email marketing. To get started, offer a product, such as a free eBook or personalized report, in exchange for that person’s email address. Once you have an audience to target through email marketing, you can then develop a relationship with them through drip campaigns.

  1. Optimize your Website for SEO

If you’re at all involved with digital marketing, you’ve most likely heard the term SEO, or, Search Engine Optimization. However, knowing what SEO is and how to execute that knowledge are two entirely different things.

Simply put, SEO determines where your website will fall on a search engine page, such as Google. The higher your ranking, the more traffic your site will receive. Including keywords on your webpage can improve your ranking and increase your chances of getting noticed.

SEO is a pretty convoluted concept, and good SEO takes consistent effort overtime. Dedicate the time that would be spent on office visits, or other marketing methods that are currently unavailable, to learn the ins and outs of SEO. Your business will thank you!

The marketing strategies mentioned above are just a starting point. When it comes to online marketing, the possibilities are endless. Get creative, and find a strategy that works for you!
